Our Story
Chef Tanya Pearson and Manager Jodi Hayne first started working together at Maverick Bistro in the Mackellar Motel in 2016 when Rhys Gard started Maverick Bistro in Gunnedah after seeing the need for locals and visitors to enjoy dining with a difference in Gunnedah.
Everyone involved and of course, the customers have allowed the Bistro to grow over the last several years.
The Bistro has relocated to 378 Conadilly Street, Gunnedah in January 2021.
Our Food
The food is quality produce served fresh and to a high quality consistently. There is a limited menu of entrées, mains, desserts and sides. The menu is changed seasonally.
The Maverick Bistro also do monthly theme nights that includes a specially designed menu and drinks eg. Italian, French, Mexican and seafood.
We also offer alternate drop, canape and function menus.

Bringing fresh dishes with quality produce is Tanya’s passion. Tanya spends many hours researching different
cuisines, countries and recipes to bring you the best.
Jodi’s focus is always on customer’s needs. Jodi prides herself on professional and respectful service to all and
enjoys welcoming locals and meeting new visitors to our town. It’s always such an interesting and enjoyable evening
for her.
